Remember the secret doing being impressive is to do something or create something that makes your audience say “How did they do that?”

First figure out what you already do that is impressive to others.

  1. Ask three close friends what they think is impressive about you. Best not to use family members as they often lie, but you can ask your mom if you are desperate.
  2. Write a eulogy for yourself and name the accomplishment that you want to be known for.
  3. Ask previous employers or mentors what they thought was impressive about you.

Look for common threads.

Write down five things that currently make you impressive and relate those to the things you want to be known for 50 years down the road.

Then brainstorm what projects you can start today that leverage what makes you impressive and where you want to be in the future.

Take a couple weeks to sit with this list and keep adding and subtracting from the list until you have 3 projects that you feel excited about.

Choose one of these.
