FAQs

HOW LONG IS AN OFFICE VISIT?

Your initial evaluation will be one hour. Your second visit is 45 minutes. At that visit the doctor will outline a choice of plans for you to choose from that will incorporate the modalities that will help you recover the quickest. All additional visits with the doctor are 30 minutes.

ARE THERE FORMS FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

Yes, we wish that we could get your history from one of your other providers so that you wouldn’t have to keep filling out the same forms over and over again, but alas we need you to fill out forms prior to your visit.

IS A CHIROPRACTOR A DOCTOR?

Yes, a chiropractor goes through medical training in order to diagnose disease and gets a “Doctor of Chiropractic” degree at the end of 3-4 years of postgraduate education.

HOW TO FIND A GOOD CHIROPRACTOR?

The best chiropractors look at the entire body and use many different tools in order to re-establish balance.

You want to find someone with a holistic approach, who can do more than just adjust you and who is committed to getting to the bottom of why you are having the pain that you are having. Find a chiropractor who will do an assessment to determine if you are hyper-flexible and probably don’t need to be adjusted. Find a chiropractor that gives you exercises to do at home so that you can hold the treatments that they are doing in the office. Without retraining, your muscles are going to fall back into their old patterns and continue to pull you out of alignment.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR?

Most patients only need to come in once a week unless they are in severe pain. Every case is different and we will find a plan that works for you.

ARE CHIROPRACTORS LICENSED?

Yes. Licensure is required. The extensive training—a minimum of 4,200 hours of classroom, laboratory and clinical experience—is approved by the Council on Chiropractic Education, an accrediting agency that is fully recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
